Music Ministry

MUSIC MINISTRY during COVID-19

Music is a vital part of church and worship. While our ensembles take a break for a little while, here are some of the ways that we can use music to unite us:

HYMNS - sing the tunes or read the words as a devotion or prayer alone or in your own small group at home.

HYMN SINGS - we do a monthly hymn sing online that you can join. Watch our facebook page for details.

RECORDINGS - listen to the sounds of your favorite music when you need inspiration, peace or joy                                                                         (apps like Spotify and Pandora are great!) Our spotify link is listed below!

PRACTICE - use this extra time to improve your musical skills or learn more about making music in a new way.

COMMUNITY - music is a universal language and participating in it brings us all closer together, even in these uncertain times.

Are you interested in being a part of a virtual community to make music? Let Amy Schutte know!

MUSICAL RESOURCES:

Find ways to move to the music at home on Go Noodle

Print out and build your own model pipe organ

     Make some homemade instruments

yourself! (She even has EASY to play books!)

  • Sound System Volunteers

One of the most important aspects of worship is sound. If you can't hear the Pastor or the music, worship has little meaning. Our sound volunteers are vital to ministry and we are always searching for more help! You need little to no experience and can be trained. Please contact Amy Schutte or any of the staff if you are willing to help out with live sound during worship services!
